Lion's mane crab cake recipe 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups lion’s mane mushrooms (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions:

  1. Sauté finely chopped lion’s mane mushrooms in a bit of olive oil until they release their moisture and become golden brown. Allow them to cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed lion’s mane mushrooms with breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into crab cake-sized patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the lion’s mane crab cakes until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Serve the lion’s mane crab cakes with your favorite dipping sauce or on a bun for a unique mushroom twist on classic crab cakes. Enjoy!
